There's the part of the sermon on the mount where Jesus specifically instructs you to love your enemy. Personally, I think it's a bit cowardly to hide behind the bible. If you want to love your kin exclusively, then just do that. Cherry picking scripture is just an appeal to authority. It's cowardly.
