I figure at times to maybe it's because you aren't so focused / concentrated to on something that isn't going right in your life as well or obviously with what you said keeping yourself happy I've noticed makes it easier to get a laugh in or relax a bit then go back to something that isn't going right in your life. Keeping faith though to is important as well, but it can be a difficult to do so even just at times. White Christian / White Catholic for myself personally is very important, but I don't always keep faith myself.
