He summed up the case really well. Here’s the rest of what I saved from that thread: 2 Peter 1:20 says "No prophecy is of ANY PRIVATE INTERPRETATION" right? That means EVERY symbol in Daniel and Revelation is defined by the BIBLE, not you or your pastor. The Bible defines EVERY symbol and what the symbol means. And so when you say "little horn" you don't realize this but you just declared a lie by claiming the little horn is THE Antichrist when the DEFINED Bible symbols matched to historic record says the little horn was the newly formed Papacy (Pope) and he uprooted THREE OTHER HORNS in the exact year the prophecy predicted he would.
the Heruli, were annihilated in 493 A.D.
the Vandals, were annihilated in 534 A.D.
and the Ostrogoths, in 538 A.D.
And when it comes to the claim that the "time, times and half a time" = 3.5 years. Again, this is wrong The Bible says "days = years" in prophecy. Proof? See this... Ezekiel 4:6 "I have appointed thee each day for a year" Numbers 14:34 "each day for a year.." That means.. now are you sitting down? That 3.5 years is not 3.5 years and the 1260 days are not 1260 days. THEY ARE YEARS. And I can prove it.
Jesus said directly AFTER the Popes stopped killing the Christians there would be events in nature that no one ever saw before. A blood red moon, a sunless day, and the stars will fall en masse. PLUS in Revelation is stated a GLOBAL EARTHQUAKE was to happen as well. (I go into detail with all the verses, definitions and DATES about this in my 7 year trib page) So, if I am correct, then a "great tribulation" has to happen for exactly 1260 years until the Popes are stopped and then those events in nature need to happen.
Now notice these TWO CONFIRMED EVENTS IN HISTORIC RECORD:

1 "Vigilius...ascended the papal chair (538 A.D.) under the military protection of Belisarius." History of the Christian Church, Vol. 3, p. 327

2, "In 1798 General Berthier made his entrance into Rome, abolished the papal government, and established a secular one." -Encyclopedia Britannica 1941 edition

And so, do the math. 538 minus 1798 = 1260 years. In 538AD the little horn gained power (the Papacy) and started to kill Christians to the tune of over 500,000,000 dead by the time Napoleon showed up in 1798AD to take him out of power. THAT is also prophesied as the "mortal wound." THAT'S EXACTLY 1260 YEARS!
