I didn't grow up in church. I did live across the street from a Baptist Church. When I was younger an old neighbor lady invited my family to that church. My parents refused but did allow my sister's and I to go. It was a free baby sitter for a few hours a week. I have always been a bookworm. I was given a Bible and naturally did what bookworms do. I started reading. Come the next Sunday school I had questions. What's up with the Giants? I remember my Sunday school teacher blowing my question off. After a month or so I got to Revelation. That's when I became fascinated. I had so many questions in Sunday school and not once did I come close to getting an answer. Questions that have remained in the back of my mind since. When I first learned to read I cleared out the elementary school library within a year. By the time I was in 4th grade I began reading jr high books. Before I began going to church I was fascinated with Greek mythology. Now as an adult it's strange to see how so many of my childhood interests actually weave together. Making a long story short, I agree with most of what Rob Skiba and Michael Heiser say. It got me started on a journey that I'm hoping to bring some of the more open minded Poalr's with me.
