Mary, also known as St. Mary the Virgin, the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Mary, Mary Mother of God or the Virgin Mary is believed by many to be the greatest of all Christian saints. The Virgin Mother "was, after her Son, exalted by divine grace above all angels and men."

Mary is venerated with a special cult, called by St. Thomas Aquinas, hyperdulia, as the holiest of all creatures. The main events of her life are celebrated as liturgical feasts of the universal Church.

The Catholics are so gullible that they actually believe the stupid dogma and made up tradition that she stayed a virgin after Jesus was born. This flies in the face of the actual scriptures that show Jesus had half brothers.

There was nothing magical or intrinsically holy about Mary, herself. She was a good woman who did her best to obey God. She sinned, but sought forgiveness.

God blessed her because He is holy, and wanted to give her the greatest gift any woman could imagine in her day. He also chose her because He knew the heart of Joseph as a good and honorable man who would be faithful when told to marry her in spite of the hard to swallow story of how she came to be pregnant. Finally, He chose her because of her lineage and Joseph’s being from David.

The vile Catholic leadership elevated Mary because they wanted a goddess in their fictional pantheon. Because the Trinity wasn’t good enough for them.

Well said. Also, Mary cannot be the mother of God because God predates her. People cannot be the genitor of their own creator.
