God created heaven and earth, and is the great creator. In the bible he tells us not to worship other gods. Doesn’t that mean other gods do exist? God is the source of creation, so why did he create other gods if he didn’t want us worshipping them?

The highest God, source of all creation, is too abstract and remote to worship. Every god worshipped by human beings is a lesser god, because only a lesser god cares about the interests and welfare of human beings. This applies to all gods with names, even Jesus and God the Father. They are not the supreme God, they are lesser gods with distinguishing characteristics.

The true God has no characteristics. That's one reason he/she/it cannot ever be worshipped. You have no conception at all of what you think you are worshipping. Whenever you worship, you worship a spiritual being who is some stages removed from the Supreme Source of Creation. You can't help this. It is the way your mind works. You can't worship nothingness, because there's nothing to worship. We can only deal with and interact with things that can be described and which have names.

The Supreme Source has no name, no face, no personality, no color, no shape, no particular distinguishing characteristic of any kind. It isn't cruel, it isn't kind, it isn't merciful, it isn't anything we can conceive. Do you begin to see the problem in worshipping the Supreme God? He/she/it doesn't exist. It is outside our entire realm of experience and conception. So, I advise you not to sweat it. You are worshipping a lesser deity no matter what you think you are worshipping. Enjoy the experience!

This is an interesting perspective. God, or a god, as a higher dimensional being/entity, could still dip his hand into our pond of reality. From our perspective we would just see his fingers but it would still be witness to the divine. Also, why wouldn’t and infinite being be interested in us, especially as his creation?

Hey, if you think your Christian god can just pop itself into existence, why can't other gods as well?

God is "faith" whereas what you refer to as "god" is not faith but rather cultural / heritage based. They are neither antagonistic nor exclusive of each other.
