Get some mud and finish your wall, dude. Those corners are driving me crazy.
This guy is not as dumb as most Christian preachers. Most preachers are dumb-dumb. He is smart-dumb. He has studied and memorized things, but he doesn't really know much of anything. He can talk about uncommon subjects such as the nature of soul and the Gnostics, but he doesn't actually understand either topic.
For example, he says that Gnostics are victims. Completely wrong. We, as human souls, can with our own efforts escape the physical realm and ascend all the way to God. That's not victimhood, it's the opposite of victimhood. See what I mean about him not really understanding anything?
He has no understanding of the left-hand path. He equates it with evil, and with deliberate doing of evil towards others. That has nothing to do with the left-hand path. I will write a little about the left-hand path and the right-hand path, for anyone who may be interested.
The right-hand path is denial of the urges of the flesh as a way of attaining spiritual enlightenment. It is known also as the "long path" because it requires more time to achieve enlightenment this way. Yet most people choose the right-hand path. Why? Because it is relatively safe. Even if you fail to achieve enlightenment, you will not destroy your own life or kill yourself. Usually.
The left-hand path embraces all the sins of the flesh as a way of attaining enlightenment. It is known as the "short path" because attaining enlightenment this way takes less time. Yet most people avoid the left-hand path. Why? Because it is extremely dangerous. You can lose not only your body but your soul as well. Of those who choose the left-hand path, most end up destroying themselves, both in this world and in the next. The few who attain enlightenment by this path indulge in the sins of the flesh, and realize their futility and emptiness with sudden realization. But most who choose this path become lost in perversions and lies.
Neither path is concerned with either helping or harming other people. They are paths to individual, personal enlightenment. Today, we would say that the left-hand path probably involves psychedelic drugs for most who follow it. These can bring enlightenment to certain individuals, but most people who use them just get burned out. In the past, the left-hand path involved deliberately violating religious taboos one after another, as a way of attaining rapid life experience. How the individual reacted to that experience determined whether he found enlightenment, or was drawn down into a mire of corruption and vice.
We, as human souls, can with our own efforts escape the physical realm and ascend all the way to God.
Says who? I have it on good authority that NO ONE had ascended to God as of 2,000 years ago.
