Im on chapter 5, and the entire book is weird to say the least. Apparently the gentiles were out destroying jewish temples, even though the jews were already kicked out of those lands. So why would gentiles be destroying the jewish temples if they were not on gentile land? This only makes sense if the jews are lying and they were encroaching on gentile space and being pushed back into their banished territory

Maccabees

Told a lot about how Judea was not jewish and how "jews" were not Judeans but were pharisees, did it not? That's pure canon.
