For me it's two things: who God is, and the gospel.

God is the eternal, good, all-powerful being who exists in three distinct persons (Father, Son, Spirit).

The gospel is the power of God for salvation to all who believe. We need to be saved. All have sinned, all deserve death. Jesus lived a sinless live and died for us so that we can - by grace alone (not adding any of our own works/efforts/merit) - be saved.

What are the essentials for you?

The essentials for me are that God made us and gets to make whatever rules he wants. Following those rules is righteousness, and not following them is sin.

He sent His son to be the perfect high priest who is able to make a perfect atoning sacrifice for us so that we can have a relationship with Our Father.

All it takes to get in is a sincere faith that we can have a high priest we can not see, and a love for others great enough that you would lay down your life for a person who just cut you off in traffic.
