Has anyone else had the suspicion that the angels of God are "not like us?" I don't recall any passage in the Bible that states that God made the angels in his own image. Man he made in his image, but the angels? We only know what they look like -- or *think* we know what they look like -- based on their appearances as men in the Old Testament and at the tomb of Jesus. But maybe they were not angels, but rather human beings possessed by angels? Maybe the angels are closer to the vision of wheels within wheels that Ezekiel saw. Maybe the angels of God are completely inhuman in form and thought, and frightening to look upon. The demons of Hell have all sorts of strange shapes, and what are they, but fallen angels? Perhaps the angels also have many strange forms, none of them remotely humanoid. Maybe if you ever saw a real angel, in its true form, it would blast your consciousness and turn you into a babbling lunatic.
