I've never liked the concept of "fear the Lord." For me, it's always been more about respect and love. Maybe some people need to "fear the Lord" for them to be kept in line, so they don't do crazy, self-destructive things with their lives, but I've never needed or wanted to fear God. I have respect, I have love, I honor God ... I don't fear God, and can't imagine myself ever doing so.
