A subject that came up with my friend, and she was stating one can lose their salvation. I can think you can lose grace with God if you don't adhere to Biblical ways, however, this does not mean you lose your salvation. It also makes me question if she cherry picks the Bible, because the Bible states salvation is through Jesus Christ, it's a free gift, all those who accept Jesus Christ as lord and savior will be saved, and that salvation and good works compliment each other. However, I could not find a single quote anywhere in the Bible that says one can lose their salvation. Not even the calvinists believe that, and they're one of the more hardcore denominations I can think of

accept Jesus

That isn't really a verb used to describe the mechanism by which we are saved, at least not in the Bible. "repent, believe, confess" are more typical

Calvinists

Well sure, one of the doctrines of grace (so to speak) is the perseverance of the saints, i.e. "once saved always saved".

John 10:25-30 is a common passage used to describe the relationship we have with Jesus and the Father.

John 5:24 is also good. If you hear (...) and believe (...) you HAVE PASSED from death to life. You HAVE eternal life.
