A subject that came up with my friend, and she was stating one can lose their salvation. I can think you can lose grace with God if you don't adhere to Biblical ways, however, this does not mean you lose your salvation. It also makes me question if she cherry picks the Bible, because the Bible states salvation is through Jesus Christ, it's a free gift, all those who accept Jesus Christ as lord and savior will be saved, and that salvation and good works compliment each other. However, I could not find a single quote anywhere in the Bible that says one can lose their salvation. Not even the calvinists believe that, and they're one of the more hardcore denominations I can think of

No, that is one of many heresies that have had to be dealt with due to the constant creeping in of false teachers and false doctrines.

Always has been a tenet of scripture "once saved always saved."

When the Spirit of God enters a man, "what God has joined together nothing can tear asunder."

Christians can and do backslide but they will always be recovered and set back on the right track.

What i thought, even Romans road in and of itself is more complicated and contrived than it should be for salvation, based off my old pastor, and that the simplicity of salvation boggles just how distorted and convoluted it has really become

Yeah, that's exactly right. We come to Christ for salvation as empty beggars, receiving everything from Him as free grace.

>Nothing in my hand I bring, Simply to Thy cross I cling.

Now this raises a question, how can one be a Christian who believe in the Bible, and completely miss this blatantly obvious, core pillar of Christianity?
