What verses in 1 John?

I'm not so knowledgable about all this... only recently rejoined the church.

I am convinced I witnessed one of God's miracles not very long ago, so it got my ass back to church.

Good for you.

It's a short book, just 5 chapters... Easy enough just to review the whole thing.

I've got 2:9 and 4:20 highlighted as something I'm trying to work on making right. Basically both say the same thing, it must be important enough that he's reiterated it.

¶If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? (1 John 4:20)

It is right there. No one has seen God. People saw Jesus. It is plain as day but for some reason the majority can't see it.
