Let's say my dad died or something, and I "talk" to him at his grave, would that be a sin? I mean technically im trying to talk to the dead and stuff, so it could be construed as such. But on the other hand, not really.

Presuming you're not worshiping him and not trying to contact the dead, it's not a sin. If you're trying to contact him and expect an answer, that's forbidden necromancy. If you're just monologuing to a headstone just to verbalize thoughts to yourself, that's no different than talking to yourself or your doggo.
