The ‘Leviyiym‘ (tribe of Levi), one of the tribes of Israel were anointed as priests of the Almighty, and given full instruction in the Law of God. They and all Israelites were given the opportunity to live in full righteousness, of their own free will, and by their own works. Their failure, and that of all men before or since to achieve righteousness was allowed by God to demonstrate our need for the intercession of His son, Jesus the Messiah, to pay the price of our sins and thereby to offer us salvation.
