If you want to convince people you have to use non-Adventist sources.
Being right not enough?
No. It being right were enough we'd all be keeping the Sabbath instead of a pagan sun worship day.
The Adventists have been grinding an axe on the Catholics for over a century. They're not wrong about Catholicism but they are not going to convince anyone precisely because they're the same group who have been grinding an axe on the Catholics for a century.
Cite historical accounts and records without filtering them through the Adventist lense first.
Also, the Adventist belief in Ellen White as a prophet is a major point against them. She was a plagiarist false prophet who, as far as I can tell, used it as a money making scheme. Sure, she stuck to what othet scholars said about the Bible so most of what she says is correct but that doesn't make her a prophet.
The Adventist church also has abortion in their closet. Do a little research on that subject and you'll find their own publications discuss abortion in Adventist hospitals.
