This post is hilarious and sad. You assert this string of conditionals, glossing over your assumption that the first statement ("eating from the Tree of Knowledge [would cause] men to become 'like gods'...") is true.

Yet that is what the serpent said.

So you have effectively done what he did - distort the word of God.
