**Daily Devotional** **November 9** *3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. - 2 Peter 3:3-4 (KJV)* There are so very many signs of the last times, happening now, and this is one of them. Many people are now making fun of Christianity, and the only set of people in this country now, that it is okay to mock and criticize, is Christians. Some parts of the country are now even making the Christian view on homosexuality actually illegal, even though the bible teaches that. Most people now are walking after their own lusts for things like flat screen televisions or I-pads and I-Phones. Many are claiming that Jesus is never coming again, even though they might believe in Him. They will be surprised, as He is coming, and soon. The Lord is delaying His return for the reason that He wants as many as possible to be saved, as He doesn’t want any to perish (2 Peter 3:9), although Jesus taught that few would be saved (Matthew 7:14). And again, Jesus said that many would be called but few chosen (Matthew 20:16) in the parable He gave. The bible teaches many times, that it is only those that endure to the end (Matthew 24:13), that will find salvation, and will remain in the book of life (Revelation 3:5). Keep your faith strong, and serve, and love, the Lord with all your heart, so you will be one of those that Jesus knows (Matthew 7:23), at the final judgment.
