Daily Devotional

November 8

7 The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. 8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. 9 O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. - Psalms 34:7-9 (KJV)

What a wonderful thought, that we have angels camped around us, who will deliver us from our enemies. The word “fear” means “reverence”, and does not mean being afraid of something. If you truly reverence the Lord and are born again, you will have His angels round about you, helping you to overcome all the tribulations that the devil will put in your path. The angels are spirits that minister to those who will become saints (Hebrews 1:13-14).

You don’t need to take someone’s word that the Lord is good, as it says to try Him, and see how He will bless those that trust in Him. Don’t just listen to how good God is, but try it yourself, and you will find out He is awesome, and if you will trust Him, you will be blessed. Make Him your Lord by giving yourself as a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1), renew your mind with the Word (Romans 12:2), and be blessed.

If you are a born again saint, and truly reverence the Lord, the Lord will see that you are taken care of, and you shall not want for anything. This does not mean that He will provide everything you lust for, but He is faithful to provide for His children their needs. Many times we don’t get what we pray for, as we pray for things that are not according to His will (James 4:3). God is a good Father, and wonderful provider – Thank you Lord.
