20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: 21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. - Phil 3:20-21 (KJV)
The Greek word translated “conversation” in this verse, literally means citizenship, so Paul is saying that we, who are born again, are citizens of heaven, not of the earth. We certainly do look for our Savior to come soon (Revelation 14:14-16), and get His bride, the church, and take us to heaven, and the signs of the end times are everywhere. The last thing Jesus said would happen, was that the Gospel would be preached to the whole world, then the end would come (Matthew 24:14), and with all the Christian satellites reaching the entire world, we must be in the end times.
Our body is a marvelous creation, and was the greatest of all things that God created, but compared to our new glorified bodies, it is truly vile, as our new bodies will be just like Jesus is now, and truly glorious. We are like a seed, as we will be sown in corruption, and raised into incorruption with our new bodies, never to see aches, pain, sickness, death, disease, or any type of corruption – praise God. We will get our new bodies when we see Jesus (1 John 3:2), and we will be like Him – boy what a wonderful thing to look forward to, and I just can’t wait for that to happen, as I could sure use a new body. God, who created this complex world and our bodies, is certainly able to give us a new glorified body, and He will, and we then will know all things (1 Corinthians 13:12) – Wow! Thank you Lord for all the wonderful promises in your Word.
