I read the book long ago. It is not Sabbath Saturday to Sunday that was changed as advanced by the book. It was the total monthly calculation that was changed. From new moon to new moon. The old system allowed the Hebrews to fight at Jericho on the 7th day, they marched around the city 7 times which would have violated their Sabbath. It wasn't considered a Sabbath because of the lunar based calendar system.

Do you know of any scriptural sources which expound this? I know there are passages that allow for various inferences to be drawn, but in a matter of such fundamental significance I would want to see more than conjecture.
