“Jonas” is a transliteration of the Hebrew name “Jonah.” In the text, Christ warns the apostate Israelites (those who have traded faith in the one true God for Babylonian Talmudism blood rituals), who keep looking for an indication of their future liberation from Rome, that their only sign is that of Jonah to Nineveh (Luke 11:30).

The “sign of Jonah” was a warning about destruction. Just as the Ninevites received God’s warning, as delivered by Jonah, that their achievements and city would be left in ruin, so too would Jerusalem be obliterated if they refused to return to God via acceptance of the Incarnation (Christ) and Spirit.

Instead, they crucified their Messiah and blasphemed God’s Holy Spirit, maligning it as demons, drunkenness, deceit, and witchcraft. The result was a two-fold destruction: first the city was razed in AD 70, leaving no stone upon another, and then the destruction yet to come as spoken of in The Revelation to John, when the perverse, adulterated Israelites, the jews, will lead all of mankind into willful destruction before God purges the planet with fire.
