12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. - 1 Peter 1:12 (KJV)

Peter had just been saying in the previous verses, that the Old Testament prophets had made prophecies of this day and time that we are living in, and how the Holy Ghost would live within the saints, and now he says the angels desire to know these things. We are so blessed by God, to be given salvation with all our sins forgotten (Isaiah 43:25), and also be given the Holy Ghost to live in us, and never leave us (Hebrews 13:5). We also have been given all spiritual blessings in heavenly places (Ephesians 1:3), and the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), which includes the very faith and love of God. We have been given the power of the Holy Ghost (Luke 24:49), and with His power in us, we can do the works that Jesus did while on the earth, and commanded us to do (John 14:12).

So many Christians say that they wish they could have been with Jesus while He was here on the earth, but Jesus said we would be better off with the Holy Ghost living in us, than with Him living with us (John 16:7). We need to all realize that we are living in the most blessed time, and all the Old Testament saints longed for this day and time. Let us just be so very thankful for all that God has done for us, who have been born again, and know that we are blessed above all that have ever lived on earth. Praise God for all the wonderful blessings, mercy, grace, and most of all the love, that He has bestowed upon us – Thank you Lord.
