17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; - Eph 3:17-18 (KJV)

If you are a born again believer in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then the very Spirit of Jesus has come into your heart at that time (Galatians 4:6). To keep the Spirit of Jesus in your heart, and make Him to dwell there, you must have faith, as faith is what pleases God (Hebrews 11:6), and faith, and obedience (Hebrews 5:9), is what you have to have to keep your salvation. Faith works by love (Galatians 5:6), and having God’s kind of AGAPE love rooted and grounded in you, will keep you in the faith, and assure that Christ will stay dwelling in your heart, because God is love (1 John 4:8).

This verse is telling us that Christ’s kind of love has dimensions to it, as it is not like our human love. If we fully understand this kind of love, we would be filled with the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:19), as God is love. This type of love is completely unconditional, as this love does not depend on the object of that love, to respond in any way, but is given without expecting anything in return. This is completely against the worldly way of loving, as us humans tend to only love those that love us, and respond to us. You must first experience this kind of love from God, before you can give it to others, and God wants to give it to you (Romans 10:9-10), but you must receive it. We tend to reject unconditional love, as it scares us, and many times we reject it. Let God give you His love, then die to yourself, and let Christ live through you, so you can give His love to others. Praise God for His wonderful love.
