“Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:1-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is one of the most common passages that are completely butchered/abused. The logic of the first sentence is equivalent to

If you don't want to be judged, don't judge others.

There is, of course, no room for us to cast condemnation on others, especially since there is no condemnation for us (Romans 8:1). But it is time for judgement to begin with the house of God! (1 Peter 4:17)

Yeah absolutely. We will all be judged on the final day. We have all transgressed God’s laws and the wages of those sins is death. We cannot condemn someone to death because we are no better. If not for the saving grace, through our faith, we would be on the same wide road that leads to destruction.

We can however attempt to educate someone on the error of their ways. We can tell them the good news. We can inform them that our damning decisions in this life have been products of this corrupted world, and there is only one path to forgiveness of sins and eternal life. There is one name by which men can be saved. To warn, correct, and/or inform is an act of love; though the proud likely won’t see it that way.
