10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. - Romans 13:10 (KJV)

What a tremendous statement, as God’s kind of AGAPE love will work no ill to your neighbor, and in doing so you fulfill the entire law given through Moses. Just think, instead of having to do all the works required under the law, all we have to do now is to love everyone – Wow. What a wonderful way to fulfill the requirements of the law, and thereby be right with the Lord. So many churches are still telling Christians that they must do works, like tithing, witnessing, attending services, etc., to be right with God, and that just is not so. Those things are works of the law, and if you fall into trying to work your way to heaven, you will go to hell, as no one can be righteous before God by keeping the law by works (Romans 3:20).

This verse confirms many commands that Jesus made while ministering on earth, and when Jesus was asked what the greatest law was, He replied that it was first to love God with all your heart, then secondly, to love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-40). Jesus didn’t tell us to only love those that were lovely, but He told us to even love our enemies (Matthew 5:44). It all boils down to us being told to love God, and love all people, no matter how they treat us, or how they feel about us. Anyone can love those that love them, but God loved us all enough to come die for us, when we were yet sinners (John 3:16). Praise God for giving us His love in the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
