20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. - John 17:20-21 (KJV)
Jesus is praying to the Father for His disciples, and this verse tells us, who are born again, that this prayer is for us also. Jesus not only prayed for us, but He then went to heaven where He makes intercession for us with the Father (Hebrews 7:25). With Jesus interceding for us with the Father, how can we not be redeemed, and forgiven of all our failures. If you are not born again, visit our web site, click on “The Gospel” link, and find out how to be born again, and saved, so you can be in fellowship with Jesus and the Father (John 17:3).
It is wonderful to think of being saved from hell, and to have a personal relationship with God, but it is more than that, as we are now one with Jesus and the Father. This means we have the Godhead living inside us, and we have the power to overcome anything that the devil throws at us, including power over him (James 4:7). If you are born again, and have been baptized as Jesus commanded us to be, in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost (Matthew 28:19), then you have the Holy Ghost living inside you. You will not realize the power of the Holy Ghost, until you acknowledge that He is there, and ask Him to give you the spiritual gifts, so that you can fulfill the commands that Jesus gave us, to do the works that He has done (John 14:12). Thank you Father for giving us the Holy Ghost to enable us to do the miracles that Jesus did.
