23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also. - John 15:23 (KJV)

You can not hate Jesus and love God, as Jesus was God in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16), and He and the Father were one (John 10:30), so you have to regard both Jesus and the Father the same. There are people that claim to love God, but reject Jesus, and that is impossible to do. Jesus was the Son of God, and yet He was God in the flesh, as they are one and the same. Jesus told Philip that if he had seen Jesus, then he had seen the Father (John 14:7), as they were one and the same. This is why Jesus was the perfect representation of the Father.

Most of us humans have a hard time understanding the spiritual things, and Jesus is talking about spiritual things, as He did in all His sayings. Jesus might not physically look like His Father, but He was talking about in the Spirit, they were one and the same, as His Father was in Him, and He was in the Father. God is a Spirit (John 4:24), but He must have a body as He showed Moses His back parts up on the mountain when Moses got the Ten Commandments from God (Exodus 33:23). The only way that we can understand spiritual things, is to just have faith in what the bible says, and look in it to see what is true in the spiritual realm. We must have faith to please God (Hebrews 11:6), and if you are born again you were given the faith of Jesus in the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Praise God for giving us the bible and the Holy Spirit to help us understand Him, and the Kingdom of God.
