**Daily Devotional** **July 13** *18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. - Matt 28:18 (KJV)* Even though God was the Creator of the earth, and all that was within it, He gave dominion of the earth to man (Genesis 1:28, Psalms 8:6, & 115:16), and He did not put any restrictions on our control, but gave it completely to us to control. Man then sinned against God, by disobeying God, and gave the earth to Lucifer, making him become the devil (Genesis 3:1-6). Now the devil was the ruler of the earth (Luke 4:6), and by working through mankind, he controlled the earth, and gave us the sin nature we all are born with. When Jesus came and died on the cross for us, so that we could have His righteousness, and again have fellowship with the Father, which is everlasting life (John 17:3), the devil was in trouble. When Jesus died, He descended into hell (Acts 2:31), and brought all the souls in Paradise out of the lower part of the earth, and took them to heaven (Ephesians 4:8-10). By fulfilling the law, and being the perfect sacrifice for us, Jesus gained all power, both in heaven and on earth. He then went to heaven and He and the Holy Angels cast Satan and the fallen Angels out of Heaven and onto the earth (Revelations 12:9) (See “New Revelations” on our web site). Jesus, by conquest, gained the keys of death and hell (Revelations 1:18). Praise God that Jesus now has all power in Heaven and on earth, and now lives inside those that believe in Him, and has given this power back to us. Wow! Devotional by Pastor Joe W.
