**Daily Devotional** **Happy Independence Day** **July 4** *35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. 36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. - Matt 24:35-36 (KJV)* Those that say the words of the bible no longer are relevant to our day and time just don’t know what they are talking about, as Jesus says His words will outlast the heavens and earth. Since Jesus words are to never change or pass away, and Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), that means that His words are just as relevant today as they ever were. Jesus had been answering His disciple’s question as to when the end time would come, and what signs would there be of it’s coming (Matthew 24:3). These scriptures make it clear that the end times are near, and we all need to be watching and ready for it. This verse makes it clear that no man will know the day and hour that the end will come, and some try to figure it out anyway, and they are always wrong. We can not know the time that Jesus will come again, as no one but the Father knows when it will be (Revelation 14:14-16). The one thing we can be sure of, is that it will come, and it will be when God says it will happen. These verses (Matthew 24:4-51) tell us the signs of the end time, and it is like reading a current newspaper, and listening to the daily news broadcast. It would sure appear that we are extremely close to the end time, and it is so very important that we be ready for the return of our Savior. If you haven’t been born again, you better do it now, as when Gabriel sounds the trumpet and Jesus comes on the clouds, it will be too late to ask for salvation. Do not risk your eternal future by delaying your acceptance of Jesus, as now is the time (2 Corinthians 6:2). Praise God for giving us the signs of the end times. Devotional by Pastor Joe W.
