**Daily Devotional** **June 28** *4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. - Matt 24:4-6 (KJV)* Satan, working through people, is the great deceiver, and it is one of his greatest tools, as he seeks to steal, kill and destroy us (John 10:10). To protect yourself against the deception of the devil, you must put on the whole amour of God (Ephesians 6:11). The devil has no real power, but has to use the power that man has, by working through a person. When Lucifer rebelled against God in the Garden of Eden, and became the devil, he lost all his angelic power, and has to have a human cooperate with him to be able to do anything. If we don’t give place to the devil, he is powerless. Jesus is answering a question from His disciples, about when Jerusalem would fall, and His return, and the end of the world would happen (Matthew 24:3). At the end many will come claiming they are Christ, but we are to know that they are false, as when Jesus comes again, we will know it for sure (Matthew 26-27). There are many signs of the end times occurring now on this earth, and we can be sure that it is getting close to time for Jesus to come again. Jesus says to watch when we see all the signs of the end time (Matthew 24:42), and we are to be ready at all times. His coming will be like the times of the flood of Noe’s days, and it will catch the world by surprise (Matthew 37-39). Stay close to the Lord, and pray every day so you will be ready for the return of Jesus, if you have been born again. If you are not born again, now is the time to do it, as it will then be to late.
