**Daily Devotional** **June 22** *53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? - 1 Cor 15:53-55 (KJV)* When Jesus comes again we will receive our new immortal bodies, as we will be like Him when we see Him (Philippians 3:21). What a wonderful future that we, who are born again, will have in the New Jerusalem with Jesus and the Father, as we will have incorruptible bodies – never to be sick or diseased again. We also will live forever on the New Earth in perfection with God and Jesus (Revelation 21:3). When we see Jesus and become like him, if born again, we will have conquered death forever, and we will never have to fear it again. Just knowing this should make the Christian shout for joy, as ever since Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden, death has ruled in the world. Since Jesus took the keys of death and hell from Satan (Revelations 1:18), we get the benefit of living forever, and death no longer causes fear in us. What a wonderful life it will be for us who have made Jesus our Savior. One of Satan’s biggest weapons against us humans has been the fear of death. Not only the death of dying, but of all the evil things that Satan tries to put on us, like sickness, disease, poverty, depression, etc. Praise God for Jesus taking the keys of death from Satan.
