49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. - 1 Cor 15:49-50 (KJV)
God knows what we are, as He made us out of dirt in the beginning (Genesis 2:7), so we are certainly earthy. Our bodies are very important to us, as God gave dominion of this earth to humans, with earthy bodies (Genesis 1:26), so our bodies, and our ability to say words, are what allow us to have control of the earth, and all things that are in it. When Jesus comes again, we, who are born again, will be like Him (1 John 3:2), and we then will have our spiritual heavenly bodies, that are incorruptible and will live forever on the new earth with Jesus and the Father (Revelation 21:3) – Praise God.
This is why you must be born again, to receive the Spirit of Jesus to live inside you (John 3:3), as flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. When we are born again we receive the spirit of Jesus (Galatians 4:6), but our bodies will not be changed into the incorruptible spiritual bodies until Jesus comes again. Until that happens we will still suffer corruption such as sickness, diseases, death, etc., which will all cease when we get our new bodies. Praise God that we will never have sickness and death again in our glorified bodies. What a wonderful thing to look forward to, as all of creation will return to the perfect state that it was originally, and all the animals, plants, fish, fowl, etc., will return to incorruption (Isaiah 11:6-8). Be sure you are born again so you can enjoy the new earth when it arrives – Thank you Lord for the wonderful future promised to your children.
