I went apostate because I was sold on the idea that truth matters more than anything else, i was really sold on the whole set of values being promoted by the "new atheist" movement at it's apex, and this never left me, I internalized them hard, and come to the conclusion of what is true and useful being what is best to align myself with.
This has put me at odds with all parts of the political spectrum, most people really don't know where to put me.
I'm an (anti-feminist, anti-abortion, anti-lgbt, anti-euthanasia, and anti-"vaxx") Atheist, a Traditionalist, a White Nationalist, a Minarchist, and a Fascist. I'm a "anti-semitic", "racist", "islamophobic", "transphobic", "homophobic", "misogynistic", "xenophobic", etc. etc. basically every label you could throw at me, the ultimate "nazi".
A lot of people have trouble determining where I stand ideologically, the answer is that I stand with my own ideology, consisting of the beliefs that best represent the truth, as defined by being the most scientifically and logically justified, and that my opinions are that whatever combination of political policies that produces the best results for White Males is my most favored political system.
I was never really disgusted with religion, i was never really sold on the idea that it was this horrible evil thing that made everything worse, I just think it's not true, and that that's enough reason to not believe in it, a religious society can be perfectly functional, but the very best society could not be built on a foundation of lies.
And if the arguments for the social utility of any particular religion were enough to justify it, then the selling point is that it's useful, not true, in which case, the time comes to examine the religion, crack open the texts on which it's based, and start seeing if we could make any changes that would optimize the utility of the religion and it's texts, I already found a lot of changes that could be made to the Bible in order to improve it's benefits as far as social engineering goes.
If Christianity is justified in that it's a useful tool, then there should be no reason why the "tool" could not be optimized even further than it was already, it's like updating some software for the people of our society to run on.
