22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. - Romans 6:22-23 (KJV)

When you become born again, you lose your sin nature making you free from sin, and you get the spirit of Jesus to live inside you (Galatians 4:6), making you a servant to God. This doesn’t mean you can’t sin, but it does mean that, if you are truly born again, you won’t want to live in sin, and are forgiven all sins. Notice that your holiness is a fruit of salvation and not something that you earn by your works. When you are born again, you have the spirit of Jesus come into you, and it is created truly righteous and holy (Ephesians 4:24) and it is a grace gift from God (Ephesians 2:5), and not anything you earn. Everlasting life is to know God and Jesus intimately (John 17:3).

When the bible talks of death, it is not just referring to physically dying, but it is referring to all the devils ills, such as sickness, poverty, sadness, depression, disease, etc., as well as physical death. This is one reason why you need to live holy, as if you sin you become the servant of the devil (Romans 6:16), and he comes only to steal, kill and destroy you (John 10:10). Eternal, or everlasting life, is not just living forever, but is to know God and Jesus intimately now in this life, and living with them forever (Revelation 21:3). Praise God for such a wonderful salvation His love has provided.
