Lol just saying something doesn't make it true. What would've made them any less likely to have been wiped out by Muslim hoards? Nothing. The Muslims actually would've completely erased these pagan religions and destroyed all evidence of it's existence whereas the Christians allowed them to maintain their traditions and customs almost entirely. Your pagan religions literally would not exist without Christianity and the crusades.
Like the communists in China you mentioned, tyrants realized that the easiest way by far to acquire permanent control is to COMPLETELY erase, destroy, and rewrite people's cultural history. The Christians never did this. They're actually one of the ONLY major ideologies/religions that never did this. Quite the opposite, they went to great lengths to preserve it. In the Holy Roman Empire pretty much the only exception for creating depictions of nude women were to create works of pagan goddesses for example.
