25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. - Prov 29:25 (KJV)
What a wonderful truth, as when we are man pleasers, instead of trying to please God, then it always brings a snare. When we put all our trust in the Lord, we will be bold as a lion (Proverbs 28:1). If we take our eyes off of Jesus, and worry about what men think, then we will not be able to serve the Lord properly. It is all about dying to yourself and living as a human sacrifice to the Lord (Romans 12:1). You can not serve God with all your heart, when you are trying to please other people. You must keep your focus on Jesus at all times and if you are living for Him, what does it matter what others think or say? Let Jesus live through you, and don’t worry about what the world thinks (Matthew 16:26).
Putting your trust in the Lord is necessary for you to be able to live the Christian life that God wants us to live. If you put your trust in people, they will many times let you down, but God will never do so (Psalms 118:8). By putting all our trust in the Lord, we can be sure that He will keep us safe. The only way to find a fulfilled life, full of joy and peace, is to put all your trust in the Lord, and serve Him with all your efforts. Since God can not lie (Titus 1:2) we can be absolutely sure that He will never let us down when we put all our trust in Him. Just think of all the promises that God has given us in His Word (the bible), and knowing that He can not lie, we have assurance that all those promises will come to pass. Praise God for His integrity and faithfulness!
