3 But I fear, lt by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. - 2 Cor 11:3 (KJV)

Notice that Lucifer (who became Satan), through the serpent, fooled Eve through being crafty and causing her to doubt what God had said (Genesis 3:1). Lucifer did not use a Tiger or Lion, or some other animal to come at Eve, but used the serpent. This shows that he did not have the power to force Eve into disobeying God, but came at her with lies, to deceive her. Satan still has to work through lies and deception to make us serve him (John 8:44), as he has no power in himself, but only the power of us humans, if we fall for his lies. The devil only comes to steal, kill and destroy us (John 10:10), and for no other reason, and he can only do that if, and when, we fall for his lies, and give him our power.

The Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is not complicated, but is pure, simple, and easy to understand (James 3:17). The Gospel, and all the commands of the Lord, are simple and easy to understand, if you are born again and have the Holy Spirit to help you. Religion is bad to teach many man made rules and regulations, that are not in the Word of God, and Jesus said that we would do so (Mark 7:13). The Bible does not say you have to confess all your sins, but you do have to repent (turn from sins), and believe in the Lord Jesus to be saved. There is no such thing as being born again, again, and you don’t have to get every sin back under the blood, like so many people teach. The Gospel is simple, and God has given Grace to us so that all we have to do is believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior (Romans 10:9-10). People have a hard time believing it is so simple, and they try to complicate it. Praise God for His simple “Good News” of the Gospel!
