February 26

14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. 15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. 16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. - Psalms 103:14-16 (KJV)

God knows that we are merely dust, as He made us in the beginning. We need to always remember that we were created out of dirt, and that we will pass away and return to being dirt in our bodies. But our souls, which are spiritual, will live forever, either in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:15), or on the New Earth with Jesus and the Father (Revelation 21:3). Be sure you have been born again, and will live on the New Earth, and not in the lake of fire. Our souls and spirits are what are important, as they will last forever.

Our days are like the grass, in that we are born, flourish, then die and are no more in this life. But keep in mind that our souls will continue on for eternity, and this physical body will pass away, and we, who are born again, will receive a new incorruptible spiritual body (1 Corinthians 15:44), that will live forever, and be free from all sickness, pain, etc. – Praise God.

Our physical bodies will soon pass away, and be no more. That is why the most important thing about our beings, is not our bodies, but our souls and spirits, as they will last forever. If we keep everything in perspective, and keep our minds on eternity (John 14:1-3), then we will work on making our souls become more like Christ by renewing our minds with the truths of God’s Word (Romans 12:2). Always keep in mind the eternal future that you have, and live for God in all you say and do (1 Peter 1:15), so you will reap the eternal benefits that His children will inherit. Praise God for loving us so much, that He came and died for us, to let us fellowship with Him now and forever (John 17:3)!
