“Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40:28-31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God made the sabbath for man, not man for the sabbath. It is God’s Mark of authority. He set aside a day for us to honor Him and find rest in Him. Every other day of the week implies work and reflects a monument of the creation. The sabbath day is not about the creation, but the Creator.

Ok well still it says he rested after creation.

He did. But not because He needed to, as I just explained. He intended to have a day set apart for us, and He wanted it to be a day without a creation monument associated with it. He rested on our behalf, and in return, we rest on that day to honor our Creator.

Completely contrived.
