7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:7-8 (KJV)

Paul was explaining the great love that God has for us – for the greatest expression of love a person can give is to die for you (John 15:13). Some people would give their own lives to save the life of a loved one or friend, but who would give their lives for a stranger, who didn’t even care for them. Sometimes a person will risk their own lives to save a stranger in an emergency, but taking a risk, and purposely giving yourself to die for someone, is different. Would you give your life for someone, by taking their place on the cross, and dying for them when they didn’t even know you? Not many would do that, yet that is what our Jesus did. We were not living a life that was holy, yet God loved us so much He sent His only Son to die in our place (John 3:16), so we could be reconciled to Him (John 17:3).

The fact that Jesus came and died for us, when we were yet sinners, is the greatest expression of love that this world has ever seen. How can you doubt that God loves you, when you think on that? If God loves us so much that He will come die for us, then you should know that He would give us the healing, prosperity, deliverance, and meet all our daily needs, as He has promised in His Word. We need to study the scriptures, and find all the promises that God has given to those that believe on Jesus, and just know that He will keep His Word, as God can not lie (Titus 1:2). What a comfort to know that God keeps His Word – always. If you have the faith to believe in God, and accept Jesus as your Savior, then you should have the faith to believe in all the great promises God has made to His children. Praise God for all He has done, is doing, and will do for us!
