“Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:10-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Evil seems to be having the upper hand as of late :/

I would encourage you to meditate on Psalm 37. Lots of good stuff in there about the wicked withering and wilting, being destroyed, being "no more", swords entering their own hearts, etc.

Refrain from anger and give up your rage; do not be agitated - it can only bring harm.

I get energized and inspired by:

Isaiah 5:20-21 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, And prudent in their own sight!

It certainly does. It will continue to get worse. We have been forewarned about these events though. Now is the time to build your relationship with our Creator and King. We cannot rely on men to save us; it will fall short and leave us bitter.

I think it was bad for awhile but the Trump respite was a temporary finger in the dam, an economic boom time replete with Reaganesque nostalgia.

That’s a great way of putting it.

1 John 2: 3 And hereby we do know that we know him (Jesus), if we keep his commandments. (righteousness)

4 He that says, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (holy spirit is not in that person)
