Faith without works is futile
You have to accept him into your heart.
Not much. But it is something. And that something is everything.
To have a conscious and follow it with out compromises.
We currently live in a degenerate Babylonesk culture so while breaking from the current orthodoxy sacrifices will need to be made. For me after a while the sacrifices dont seem like sacrifices but just a way of being. Trying to be on the good foot. To find the higher path. The way. I learn things then over time inadvertently wander away then struggle to find the path again.often times relearning or refreshing the same lessons of the past. I swear im 1/2 retarded. To be fully functional in a dysfunctional society is not common. Pull the wool over your own eyes and find solace in your own delusions. Success is a mind game, it all comes down to perspective. Jesus said we all have him in us. We all know whats right and wrong. Dont let mans law or custom fool you from what you know. Somewhere i read we are born with everything we need to know but we just have to figure it out. Sorry about the word salad and poor grammar.
You have to accept Christ into your heart and live without sin as much as you can manage, confess your sins to Christ and repent/learn from them so you sin less. You also have to pray. Christ wants a relationship with you. You have to put Him above all others.
You're the only that mentioned sin.
It's kind of important.
Christ wants a relationship with you. You have to put Him above all others.
Do you really believe Christ wants this? That he is so egotistical that he needs you to worship him, and put him above the needs of your fellow human beings? Did Jesus put worship above the needs of the people while he was alive? It seems to me that he helped people when then needed help.
Putting Christ first, serving him and living His word will cause us to serve others as He did. We are to serve Him by living out His example.
communion and baptism are considered sacraments because they are ordained by the early church
Are communion and baptism part of what is called dogma?
yes its dogma and practice by christians
jesus told his disciples to commemorate his death by taking holy communion which after his resurrection was called "agape feasts"
> Luke 22:20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
>Luke 22:19 ¶ And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
>Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
>Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
>Colossians 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
>1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
baptism doesnt save you but its a sign that you are saved and ditto for communion
Thanks brother.
Sure, but what are they, really? Play-acting. Did Jesus say we needed them? No, he didn't. What Jesus said was that we no longer needed to be bound by the old religious customs if we followed him. That's what makes a real Christian, not ceremonies. I will hazard to suggest that most of the people who think they are Christians, and who think they are saved, are neither, because they don't follow the teachings of Jesus in their own lives.
Do you want to be saved? I want to be saved. Do you accept Jesus into your heart? I do, I do, I do. Then you're saved, boy. Go forth and commit whatever acts of fornication, lying cheating, violence, corruption, perversion you want, because when you die you are going to heaven.
How can anyone believe this? Jesus said, if you want to be saved, do what I do, and do what I tell you to do. Accepting him into your heart is beside the point. If you don't accept him into your heart, you are unlikely to follow his teachings, aren't you? But its your attitude and behavior toward other human beings that matters. That's what makes you Christian.
i showed up scripture, you are showing me your opinion, thanks
but yes you are saved by the hearing the word and by believing the gospel but baptism and communion are sacraments that are instituted among those who believe
i showed up scripture, you are showing me your opinion
Yes, that's what you'll get in my posts, my opinion. Quoting scripture has never struck me as a useful thing to do. I know that my opinions disagree with standard Roman Catholic and Prostatant dogma, but they are my opinions, not just echoes of the opinions of dead men. I approach Christ seeking truth.
Simple: love God and Love your neighbour - and love what is Right with all your heart, mind and soul --- plus, belied that Jesus was the son of God and not just the messiah...otherwise you're closer to a Muslim
WRONG. A christian is someone who follows the Bible (God's Law)...John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word (greek logos meaning KNOWLEDGE) and the Word was WITH God, and the Word WAS God. Jesus SAID: "I am NOT here to change one jot or tittle of the Word". Jesus added how GOOD people are to treat other GOOD people (NOT heathens). and initially ONLY Jewish people (HIS words).
The Bible is NOT about EVERYONE uniting or loving EVERYONE. The Bible is about GOOD vs EVIL and YOU have to CHOOSE. (rev CH3: Jesus will SPIT from his mouth the fence sitters (love everyone crowd)). God HATES. God hated Esau IN THE WOMB. God HATES (7 types of people:
Proud look (ELITES) Lying tongue (LIARS) Hands that shed innocent blood (ABORTION) Heart that devises wicked imaginations (LIBERALS) Feet swift in running to mischief (NIGGERS) A false witness that speaks lies (NIGGERS) He that soweth discord among God’s children (LIBERALS)
No that's not enough. Faith is a community thing. If you solo it, then there is no point. Look at muslims and jews. Their faith is more than just a personal belief to them.
Being a nigger.
You're missing a couple pings I think.
idun wan offend dem
Can Christians hate niggers?
Well, let's see. Christians can hate the sin. In so far as niggers sin, I guess Christians can hate them for it. Nobody really hates niggers for their skin color -- they are hated for their bad behavior. For their sins, to use the biblical term. As far as I can see, Christians not only can hate sinfulness, they are required to hate sinfulness. Jesus drove the money lenders out of the Temple with a scourge. I doubt he had love in his heart for them at that moment. He was hating their sin, and he was hating them for their sinfulness. But if they ceased their sinful ways, Jesus would have forgiven them and embraced them as brothers. Those who hate niggers would forgive them and embrace them as brothers if they stopped behaving like niggers.
Phew, I feel much better. Thank you for explaining.
If I can save your wretched soul, brother, I consider it time well spent.
