“Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.”
I understand where you’re coming from, but remember what Jesus says right after this:
“For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.”
Swords slice and divide things. He’s calling us to separate ourselves from this world and the chaos it offers. This time in our history really sucks; but we were warned about it coming, so balance the anger with enthusiasm, because we must be near the end. We’re almost home.
I often think of how amazing the scene of His coming will be, and how soon to come it feels. So much so, that I contemplate sleeping outside in these days as to not have to be taken up and translated through my ceiling
Smart. I’ve been drinking Red Bulls so I can meet him in the air faster.
I wonder if Red Bull is an omage to Moloch?
Aparently, the statue was hollow and the fire inside was kindled so hot that the whole statue burned red hot before they would roll the children into the fire... There truly is no limit of evil in this world.
I can't imagine the pain and suffering it was for Jesus to carry that guilt and sin upon himself unto his death. If that doesnt speak of the love for us, I could not fathom another example.
