In this week's BYU-Idaho Devotional ( for those interested), the speaker talks about how we need to conquer contention. We need to view others as people, even if they believe differently, to have a heart of peace, as the speaker put it. What do you guys think?

I think there's a movement to infantilize and disarm Christians. Especially white ones. First off

'Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.'

'Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.'

We were never meant to just always take it in the ass constantly, this is a media projection by folks that never read the bible and push propaganda to pacify us against threats like Islamic interests.
