Where in the bible does it say christian have to display their faith??

- Matthew 6:1 “Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.

That verse isn't saying to not show your faith. It's talking about people who are showing their acts for their own praise. like look at how great I am because I'm fasting and look so bad, look how great I am you can see me singing loudly.
having the peace of God during bad times and other's noticing that is not showing of your faith in a self righteous way.
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.
