That verse isn't saying to not show your faith. It's talking about people who are showing their acts for their own praise. like look at how great I am because I'm fasting and look so bad, look how great I am you can see me singing loudly.
having the peace of God during bad times and other's noticing that is not showing of your faith in a self righteous way.
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. 1 Timothy 4:12-15

Why do you want to do that? Why do you want to use that crisis, to capitalize on it? Why do you even think about doing just that?
It's called vanity at the very least, it's opportunism
It's between you and god first and foremost, the rest of the world does what it does. If they aren't followers of the book, it's their problem, it's their choice. The book only applies to its followers.
