Consider the Quakers. No harm in hanging out with them. As a young man living in London, I attended a meeting/service. They enjoyed having a 'yank' visit. No pressure, no preaching at all. Good folks.
I'm interested if you have any good stories of your visits. What was spiritualism for them? How do they lack organized religion to find this spirituality? Just curious anyway.
I lived in London from 1977 to 1980. Visited all sorts of religious organizations just from curiosity. Joined none, but visited... British-Israelist church, Quakers, Hindus, Baha'is, Buddhists, Sikhs, Muslims at a very creepy Pakistani Mosque, and the Quakers were very quiet and non-pushy.
The rest of the time, I was attending punk rock concerts! For a kid raised in the swamps of Louisiana, London was awesome. Seen it all. My favorite band was the cheesiest of them all, with the lead singer stabbing himself to death - ever concert (mock). This EP is golden to me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M474_WCxd3I
