iso8601 makes Sunday the 7th day aka the Sabbath. Meanwhile certain Christians consider Sunday to be the first day, meaning the Sabbath should fall on Saturday. But since I've always went to church on Sunday it seems to me that iso8601 made the right choice.

Saturday and Sunday are the weekend. Monday is the weekbegin. Are you saying Sunday is the weekbegin?
